Enugu Police Debunk Rumour Of Attack On DIG Frank Mba’s Family House

CP. Frank Mba

September 23, (THEWILL) — The Enugu State Police Command has dismissed reports that gunmen attacked the family home of Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Frank Mba, and attempted to abduct his relatives.

In a statement on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, described the claim as false, clarifying that what occurred on September 18, 2025, was a foiled armed robbery in Ezimo, Udenu Local Government Area, Mba’s hometown.

During the exchange of gunfire, a police officer was shot and later died in the hospital. One of the suspects was arrested and is assisting with investigations, while others escaped but are being trailed.
