March 08, (THEWILL) — The management of Super Win League (SWL) has introduced a scheme to reward fans who engage online with Lobi Stars Football Club.
The Marketing Coordinator of Lobi Stars Football Club, Mr Gabriel Egwu, disclosed this at the McCarthy Stadium, Makurdi, on Saturday, after Lobi Stars Football Club defeated ABS Football of Ilorin 2-0 in week 11 of the Nigeria National League.
According to him, the SWL scheme would generate questions about Lobi Stars’ past or present, and anyone who answers correctly will get a reward of about N10, N20 or N50,000 daily from the number of fans that play the game.
“The essence is to engage the fans to know their players more and generate statistics online. We want to begin to instil loyalty in the club and players”, Egwu stated.
He explained that Lobi Stars Football Club or Benue State Government will commit no funds to the deal, but rather, the club will earn ten percent of the total internally generated revenue to its advantage.
Throwing more light on the scheme, one of the Coordinators, Mr Mike Terhemba Imenger, described it as a win-win situation for the fans and club, saying the introduction of SWL will enable fans to have more knowledge of the club.
“Fans can choose Lobi Stars and one other foreign club of their choice, and anyone who answers and scores more points will earn more money”, he said.
Mr Imenger disclosed that the bigger reward for the participating fans is the foreign trip attached to it, depending on the number of entrants.
The team lead in Benue, Mr George Onoku, noted that more than ten fans in the state have keyed into the scheme within days, explaining that new entrants can Google swl.life platform and pick Lobi Stars as their team with Benue State as the location so as to enable the club earn more money.
