BEVERLY HILLS, June 12, (THEWILL) – The Federal High Court in Gudu, Abuja has convicted Senator Joshua Dariye, a former Governor and serving senator of corruption during his reign as state Governor.
Dariye, a member of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, was Tuesday found guilty on 15 counts in the 23-count charge sheet preferred against him by the EFCC in the suit before Justice Adebukola Banjoko.
The EFCC through its counsel, Rotimi Jacobs SAN is seeking the maximum sentence despite Paul Erokor SAN, Dariye’s lawyer plea for leniency.
