Federal Court Stops SSS, Police From Arresting Lamido Sanusi

BEVERLY HILLS, February 21, (THEWILL) – The embattled former Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Friday obtained an order from the Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos barring the State Security Service and the Inspector General of Police from arresting him over allegations of fraud and abuse of office at the apex bank.

Justice I.N. Buba, who approved the Motion Exparte also directed all parties to maintain the status quo pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.

Recall that Sanusi was suspended as Governor of the bank by President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday to pave way for investigation into his tenure.
