November 30, (THEWILL) — Brighton and Hove Albion climbed to fifth place in the English Premier League table following a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Sunday. Maxim De Cuyper and Stefanos Tzimas found the net for the Seagulls, who punished Sean Dyche’s side despite the hosts entering the match on the back of three consecutive wins across all competitions.
Forest had demolished Liverpool 3-0 in their previous league fixture, but struggled to replicate that form against Brighton. Brighton sealed the points late in the contest when youngster Tzimas capitalised on a mistake from Morato to score his maiden EPL goal. The strike ended any hopes of a Forest comeback and confirmed a valuable three points for the visitors.
The result leaves Brighton firmly in the hunt for European qualification, while Forest face renewed pressure to maintain their position above the relegation places despite their earlier winning streak coming to an end.
