BEVERLY HILLS, December 25, (THEWILL) – Tragedy struck at the industrial town of Nnewi in Anambra State as a gas plant, Inter Corp Oil limited (LPG Gas Plant) belonging to Chikason Group, suddenly exploded on Thursday morning killing scores of persons and injuring four others.
Sources say the explosion happened when a truck attempted discharging its contents without waiting for the mandatory cooling time and at a time when customers, numbering close to hundred, were said to be refilling their gas cylinders.
