The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been held to a 1-1 draw by Tunisia, in their second group game of the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN 2016.
The North Africans were obviously the better side in a match the home based Eagles looked different from the team that defeated Niger 4 – 1 in their opening game.
The Tunisians had a goal in the 44th minute wrongly ruled-out by the referee, as he posited that the ball had gone-off the pitch before Hamza’s cross leading to the goal.
Chisom Chikatara, Nigeria’s hat trick hero in the opening game against Niger Republic, gave Nigeria the lead with a wonderful strike aided by a slight deflection.
However, like the Nigerians, the Tunisians however equalized in the 70th minute through Ahmed Akaichi who scored his third goal of the tournament.
With the draw, Nigeria now has four points and will be facing Guinea in the last match of the group stage.
