GOVERNOR IBRAHIM GAIDAM OF YOBE STATE
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, November 14, (THEWILL) – Indications have emerged that the coalition party, All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon be inaugurated in Yobe State.
The State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam, who was elected on the platform of defunct All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) and is one of the founding fathers of APC, has already inaugurated a committee to ensure the take off of the party in all the nooks and cranny of the state, particularly at the grassroots level.
Speaking while Inaugurating the committee at the council chambers of the Government House in Damaturu, the governor, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Abubakar Aliyu, said the inauguration is geared towards re-invigorating the party machinery and moulding a solid foundation that will bring members from the merger group through effective dialogue.
He said the membership of the committee was chosen based on their track records and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by working towards the unity and success of the party at their various areas.
He also urged them to promote stability among members and to map out strategies to galvanise support for the party at the grassroots level ahead of the general election.
Describing the state as the home of APC, the governor assured that the party will present more credible and reliable alternatives to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that will transform the country for the better.
Gaidam also described the merger into APC as the best thing that has ever happened to Nigerian politics in recent times even as he assured that decisions and actions taken will always be in the interest of the party faithful and all Nigerians .
