BEVERLY HILLS, November 19, (THEWILL) – Ghana and Boeing have signed a provisional deal for three 787-9 Dreamliners at the Dubai Airshow.
Boeing, which announced the deal Tuesday said the planes, whose order value is $877.5 million at list prices, will go toward Ghana’s yet-to-be launched airline, in which the government will hold a 10% stake.
The 787-9 jet seats 242 to 330 passengers in a two-class layout.
Ghana’s minister of aviation, Joseph Kofi Adda, told reporters, that the private sector will hold 90% of the new airline.
Its West African neighbour, Nigeria has also announced plans to launch a new airline with the same ownership structure.
