Governor El-Rufai Effects Minor Cabinet Reshuffle

BEVERLY HILLS, May 04, (THEWILL) – The Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai on Tuesday announced a re-assignment of portfolios in the State Executive Council, SEC, in a cabinet reshuffle that affected four commissioners in the state.

A statement issued in Kaduna by the Governor’s media aide, Mr Samuel Aruwan, reports that those affected were Prof. Jonathan Nok, who was moved from the Ministry of Health and Human Service to Ministry for Education, Science and Technology and replaced at his former office by Dr Paul Manya-Dogo.

The statement further revealed that “Malam Shehu Balarabe, is moving from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, to take charge of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.

“Dr. Shehu Adamu, former Commissioner of Education, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, it stated, adding that “Under his watch, the government started the rehabilitation of schools, the provision of furniture and the school feeding programme for primary school pupils.”

It added that Manya-Dogo, a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, will have his name will be forwarded to the Kaduna State House of Assembly for confirmation.

“Dr. Yau Idris, the former Commissioner of Environment, has returned to the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Agency,” Aruwan stated.
