BEVERLY HILLS, September 05, (THEWILL) –Â At least three policemen have been killed in a gun attack by suspected oil thieves at Kolo police station in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state.
The sad incident comes one week after four soldiers were killed in an ambush at Letugbene, a community in Southern Ijaw local government area of the state.
Asinim Butswat, Spokesman of state police command, confirmed the attack and said the command lost three policemen to the attack.
However, he could not disclose the identity of the attackers saying investigation was still going on.
He however promised that the perpetrators of the attack would be punished.
