SAN FRANCISCO, Jube 26, (THEWILL) – No fewer than ten passengers including the driver of an eighteen seater bus were on Wednesday morning abducted along Akure/ Ikere Ekiti road by unknown gunmen.
The bus was travelling to Ado-Ekiti from Akure before it was ambushed at one of the bad spots on the route.
The heavily armed suspected kidnappers were said to have waylaid the commercial bus along the road and took the passengers to an unknown place.
THEWILL notes that the spate of kidnapping along that road and other inter-state highway roads has increased.
This led to a meeting of the southwest governors with President Muhammadu Buhari and later on, with heads of security agencies in the country
