SAN FRANCISCO, December 01, (THEWILL) – Gunmen in dozens have attacked a federal prison in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Southwestern Nigeria and freed several prisoners.
The gunmen suspected to be members of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, who stormed the facility in several trucks, chanted “Allah wa ku bar (God is Great) during the invasion of the prison on Sunday night.
THEWILL gathered that the gunmen gained access into the facility by bombing the fence before killing a prison official and several patrol dogs.
