BEVERLY HILLS, SEPTEMBER 14, (THEWILL) – Heartland FC, Owerri, have been involved in a road accident in the city of Maiduguri, where they will be the guest to El-Kanemi Warriors in a Nigeria Professional Football League tie.
The accident occurred as the team was making its way from the local airport to the city centre.
Although, no death was recorded, THEWILL gathered that about seven players and three officials of the club side were injured.
Those who sustained injuries have been taken to hospital for treatment.
