BEVERLY HILLS, February 15, (THEWILL) – Bello Sani, a House of Representatives member from Katsina state, has died.
Sani who represented Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency had been a member of the Katsina state house of assembly and once served as chairman of Mashi local government.
Sani attended Mashi primary school in 1974, Government Day secondary school Mashi and Hassan Usman Polytechnic, Katsina in 1996.
His death was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of House of Reps, through his special adviser on media and public affairs, Turaki Hassan.
Dogara described the deceased as hardworking and committed, and extended condolences to his family.
“Our late colleague was humane, principled and a cosmopolitan who interacted freely with all members,” Dogara said.
“Our heartfelt condolences go to his immediate family, government and people of Katsina state and his colleagues and the government and people of Nigeria.
“We pray God to give all of us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
His death comes seven months after that of Adewale Oluwatayo, who represented Ifako/Ijaiye federal constituency of Lagos state.
