SAN FRANCISCO, September 04, (THEWILL) – Chimamanda Adichie has disowned some articles, said to have been written by her, in which she purportedly supported the current Biafran agitation.
One of such articles, seen by THEWILL, was titled: ‘Enough of this Political Correctness, I am a Biafran and Nothing Else.’
Adichie, author of the bestseller, ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’, in a statement posted on her Facebook page on Monday described the article as false.
The literary icon who posted a picture of one of such false write-ups, added that she never made any statement on Biafra.
“This headline below (referring to the picture) and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites, are false,” she wrote.
“They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me. I did not say or write those words.”
