SAN FRANCISCO, February 05, (THEWILL) – Following the painful demise of the former Chairman of the State House Press Corps, Mr. Daniel Ovwigho Idonor, a three-day mourning period has been declared by the Executive Council of the Corps, starting this Thursday.
During the period, members are enjoined to pray for the repose of Idonor’s soul and ask God to grant his family and friends the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
A statement issued Thursday by the Chairman, State House Press Corps, Kehinde Amodu, enjoined members to visit the immediate family of the deceased at their Abuja residence.
The Press Corps, while mourning the death of their late colleague, also consoled with the staff of Frontier Newspapers and those of Champion and Vanguard Newspapers where he previously worked.
Idonor, popularly referred to in the Villa as “Chair”, will be remembered for his purposeful and bold leadership during the two terms he served as Chairman of the State House Press Corps.
The Corps prayed God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest.
