May 1, (THEWILL) – The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports Development, Daniel Igali, has congratulated Finidi George on his recent appointment as the Head Coach of the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), on Monday, appointed Finidi as the new Head Coach of the nation’s senior men’s national team.
Igali, in a congratulatory message, said that with Finidi George’s wealth of experience as a top-level player and seasoned coach and administrator, there is no doubt that he will bring a new level of expertise and leadership to the Super Eagles.
He said Finidi’s proven track record in football and dedication to the sport made him the perfect candidate to lead the team to greater heights.
Igali stated that Bayelsans and the Ijaw Nation at large are confident in Finidi’s abilities and are excited to see him take on this new role with the Super Eagles.
He said the Bayelsa State Ministry of Sports Development is proud to see one of its own taking on such a prestigious position, expressing confidence in Finidi making significant contributions to Nigerian football during his tenure as Head Coach of the Super Eagles.
The former Olympic gold medalist wished Finidi continued success as he guides the team on the path of sustained growth and success in both continental and international competitions.
