October 24, (THEWILL) – The immediate-past Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has expressed her appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for allowing her to serve in his cabinet.
THEWILL reports that President Tinubu had in a move to reinvigorate his administration’s capacity to deliver on his promises to Nigerians, on Wednesday, sacked Ohanenye; Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; Prof. Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; Abdullahi Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development and Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development. The President also appointed seven new ministers and assigned portfolios to them, subject to confirmation by the Senate.
In a letter of appreciation she signed on Thursday, Ohanenye promised to continue to serve the country and contribute to its growth and progress.
This is as she expressed her gratitude to the President and his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, for the opportunity to serve the country. She also expressed her gratitude to Nigerians for the unwavering support they gave her while she was in office.
The letter reads: “I write to express my sincere gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It has been an honor and a privilege to contribute to the development of our Nation.
“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for her invaluable guidance and support during my tenure as Minister of Women Affairs. Her kindness and encouragement have been instrumental to my success.
“To the people of Nigeria, I am deeply grateful for your unwavering support. Your trust and confidence in me have been a constant source of inspiration.
“I remain committed to serving my country and will continue to do my utmost to contribute to its progress and prosperity.”
