INEC Reprints Voter Register In Plateau, Relocates Office

BEVERLY HILLS, February 15, (THEWILL) – A truck carrying ballot boxes and voting cubicles has been offloaded at Qu’an Pan LGA of Plateau State to replace those destroyed in the recent fire incident.

According to a statement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) via social media, the printing of voters’ register for all polling units have been completed and the affected office has been relocated to a new building.

THEWILL recalls that the INEC office in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State Was recently gutted by fire.

During the incident which occurred on Saturday night, the office was completely burnt down with all its content comprising ballot boxes among others.

Other items destroyed by the inferno are generators filled with fuel, cubicles, newly printed electronic and manual Voters Register.

The fire also destroyed Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) yet to be collected by residents and other materials yet to be identified.
