April 25, (THEWILL) –Â The youths of Ivo, Akaeze and Ishiagu, in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have called on His Excellency, Engineer David Nweze Umahi, to release the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Chidi Simbad Ogbuatu, to contest next year’s general election.
Speaking on behalf of the youths, Chief Emmanuel Aja, National Coordinator, Akubaraoha Peace Ambassadors, after a meeting held at Akaeze Development Centre in Ivo Local Government Area, the youths opined that Hon. Chidi Simbad Ogbuatu was the saleable and accessible candidate for Ivo constituency.
According to them, Hon. Chidi Ogbuatu has the capacity to restore the needed peace in the area and bring about more empowerment to the youths.
“The people of Ivo, Akaeze and Ishiagu, both males and females, old and young, have called on David Nweze Umahi to allow one of our illustrious son, Chidi Simbad Ogbuatu, to contest the forthcoming election because he will bring peace, unity and empower the youths of Ivo.
“He knows the minds of the youths and is ever willing to deliver in all ramifications. He is a man with a compassionate heart. There is no youth in Akaeze who cannot attest to the fact that Chidi Ogbuatu has not touched his life. We are calling on His Excellency to give Chidi Ogbuatu the opportunity to represent Ivo constituency to enable him restore peace in the area.
“We are appealing to His Excellency to enable us to bring out a person that will be saleable in Ivo constituency. He will restore peace in the Ivo local government area. He has served as a coordinator of Akaeze Development Center, he has served in the leadership of STAs and TAs, he has served as a management committee member.
“He is a man that grew from the root. He started from the cradle. He has been so good and he has been doing well. He is a man that says what he will do. We have tested him and we trust him. We know he is capable of representing us in Ivo constituency.
“The entire youths of Akaeze Development Centre, comprising eleven wards. The youths on their own today said that the zoning formula adopted by His Excellency, Engineer David Nweze Umahi, appreciates the zoning system, and the zoning which was adopted by Governor Umahi is also being adopted by the youths of Akaeze Development Centre.
“The youths are appealing that he should be given a chance to represent the people of Akaeze and Ivo in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly. We the youths of Ivo in Akaeze Development Center plead to release Chidi Ogbuatu Simbad to come and take Ivo, Ishiagu and Akaeze to the greater and greatest level”, he said.
