Striker Jelle Vossen is bracing himself for 11 cup finals as Middlesbrough attempt to make their Premier League dream a reality.
Vossen’s goal sealed a 3-0 victory over Millwall on Tuesday evening which sent the Teessiders back to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, although he is taking nothing for granted as they turn their attention to Saturday’s trip to in-form Nottingham Forest and the remaining 10 fixtures which follow it.
He told the club’s official website: “Everyone was very motivated to give a good performance and we did that as team. We’re top of the league now, but the next game is another final and with 11 games left, we have 11 big finals.
“Every weekend the table can change a lot, so we have to just keep focused and doing our jobs, and that will start again on Saturday.
“It’s a very important game against Forest, but they are all important and we just have to look at ourselves.
“If we keep getting on with our own matches, no-one can pass us, so it’s very important to win our games.”
