November 08, (THEWILL) — Juventus failed to capitalise on an opportunity to move within one point of Serie A leaders, Napoli, after being held to a goalless draw by city rivals, Torino, at the Allianz Stadium.
Luciano Spalletti’s side dominated possession and chances but could not find a breakthrough despite recording 22 shots. Torino managed just eight attempts, yet proved resolute in defence throughout the contest.
The Bianconeri threatened repeatedly in the opening period. Francisco Conceicao went close on two occasions, whilst Khephren Thuram forced Torino goalkeeper Alberto Paleari into action with a long-range effort that required a save.
