SAN FRANCISCO, June 16, (THEWILL) – Dumebi Kachikwu, younger brother of the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has rubbished media reports (not by THEWILL) alleging that his accounts have been frozen.
“Our attention has been brought to a bogus tweet circulated by Sahara Reporters on June 11, 2016, suggesting that the ‘EFCC is on the trail’ of Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu and that ‘his account(s)’ have been ‘frozen,” his media consultant, AMER PR said in a statement on Thursday emailed to THEWILL.
“For the sake of clarity this report is entirely false, reckless, irresponsible and without substance.
“Ordinarily, Mr. Kachikwu does not respond to garbage churned out on social media about his person, but has decided to do so at this time for the benefit of gullible people who seem to believe everything they read on these irresponsible social media platforms that are being used as tools of blackmail and extortion.
“Henceforth, Mr. Kachikwu will not hesitate to seek redress in court against any mass media platform that scandalizes his person.”
“As far as we are concerned, the annoyingly comical news not only beggars belief, but skirts moral boundaries. The report which attempted to disparage the hardworking man was curiously mischievous,” a close friend of Dumebi also declared.
“Apart from the fact that the misguided news was needless when placed side-by-side with the sense of news judgment; it was also lacking in substance and more like a space-filler. And if you ask me, this particular story is not only baseless and undeserving of attention, it is also professionally rascally and a poorly choreographed bunch of lies.”
