June 16, (THEWILL) — Kano Pillars Football Club have confirmed the departure of eight players following the expiration of their contracts at the end of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The players leaving the Sai Masu Gida are Muhammad Galadima, Ugochukwu Gabriel, Zahraddeen Bello, Williams Ayuba, Bernard Ovoke, Christian Izuchukwu, Sudais Ali Baba and Aliyu Yakubu.

In a statement released by the club’s Media and Communications Directorate, Kano Pillars thanked the players for their dedication, professionalism and contributions during their spell with the club.

The club acknowledged the role each player played while representing the four-time NPFL champions and wished them success in their future endeavours.

Kano Pillars also expressed appreciation on behalf of the management, technical crew, staff and supporters, noting that the departing players would always remain part of the club’s history and family.

The club added that their commitment and services throughout their time at Pillars would be fondly remembered as they move on to the next stage of their careers.
