SAN FRANCISCO, July 09, (THEWILL) – The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Wednesday warned the Lagos Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against further insult and disparaging of the Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in its inordinate crave for attention.
The party said the uncouth and embarrassing language of Lagos PDP is becoming annoying by the day and warned the party to desist from insulting the Senator or any leader of the APC to avoid incurring the wrath of Lagosians.
In a statement in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe, the party said it is embarrassing and unbecoming of a party to resort to what it described as guttersnipes and vain languages in drawing attention to itself as Lagos PDP is doing.
It said the good people of Lagos Central Senatorial zone will not take kindly to any further insult from the frustrated bunch that calls itself Lagos PDP as it struggles to express its frustration at the strings of rejections Lagosians have shown the party as it struggles to enlist Lagos in its rich list of demolished territories since 1999.
“We take very strong exception to the mannerless and rude way the Lagos PDP addressed distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu over the free speech she made in the Senate. We see the excessive efforts of a cabal of unprincipled share reapers that bandy together as Lagos PDP to draw attention to itself as now bordering on the fringes of lunacy if Lagos PDP is now all about insulting and issuing idiotic and empty threats to members of APC at the drop of a hat. The other day, these empty political hustlers were to insult the revered Oba of Lagos and threaten to burn down his palace. We dare them to do so but they recoiled to their shells.
“We warn that we will not tolerate such further insults as we may be compelled to completely consign the PDP to the Lagos dustbin where it rightly belongs if it continues in its delinquent ways. We feel that a group of frustrated political wayfarers must find better means of ventilating its frustrations than dancing naked and issuing insipid and baseless threats it has no capacity to see through even with the massive illicit inducement it draws from Abuja. We insist that the political layabouts in Lagos PDP must find better ways to show their frustration than resorting to laughable threats and insults as they have no right to insult and threaten the leaders of our party and state.
“Even as we note that the Lagos PDP has been robust in issuing infantile and hollow threats that speak of a strength and capacity it never has, we warn that if they take Lagosians for a ride, they will certainly see the other side of Lagos. Even as Lagos PDP has of late, formed the incurable habit of flattering its non-existent strength, we dare them to, for once, take their childish vituperations a step further by initiating the recall of Senator Tinubu for whatever reason they deem fit and see the real Lagosians in their real colour. We have always seen the bare, hollow and tendentious empty boasts of Lagos PDP for what they really are-a crave for attention and an expression of desperation for its consistent failures in Lagos-but we will not take kindly their lousy and uncouth lack of civility and we warn we are not going to tolerate such deviant behaviors any further.
“We know that Lagos PDP is a walking case of frustration and unrealisable political dreams but we want to let them know that being unruly and manner less will never bail them from the permanent political woes they face in Lagos. A Lagos that is a case study in both political sophistication and governmental excellence cannot tolerate a bunch of free loaders that believe that government is about self fending and treasury plundering and nursing the gluttony and greed of a select cabal-the reason why Nigeria is crawling on its belly today after fifteen awful years in the hands of successive PDP governments.
“We want to let them know, if sixteen years of woeful electoral failures has not taught them, that Lagos has no place for the roaches that congregate in PDP, even with the money and other fake inducements they are openly sharing at present to bribe Lagosians en route 2015. We warn them that enough is enough and that Lagosians will not tolerate further insult and uncouth abuse on their intelligence,” the statement said.
