BEVERLY HILLS, January 28, (THEWILL) – The Lagos State House of Assembly Monday launched a debate to impeach Governor Akinwunmi Ambode over the controversial delay in the presentation of the 2019 budget estimate to lawmakers and other sundry issues related to alleged expenditure of state funds without the approval of the house.
Relations between the Assembly and the Ambode-led executive have been nose-dived since the governor was denied a second term tight by the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC.
The lawmakers were still in session as at the time of writing this report.
