SAN FRANCISCO, September 04, (THEWILL) – The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, has ordered the immediate removal of DSP Akinade Adejobi, Officer-in-Charge, Anti-Kidnapping and Anti-Cultism Squad, State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department over alleged bribe.
THEWILL gathered that Adejobi and his officers allegedly demanded the sum of N50,000 for the bail of one Blessing Taiwo, over an alleged theft.
They were also said to have recieved N30,000 and seized the victim’s phone pending when a balance of N20,000 would be paid on Tuesday.
Also, Blessing’s sister, Florence, also accused the Policemen of harassing her sexually alleging that they put hands into her private parts and breasts anytime she took food to Blessing in the cell.
Imohimi was said to have been irked by the news when he got the information and ordered investigations into the allegations but asked that Adejobi be relieved.
