October 26, (THEWILL) – Brentford emerged victorious in a remarkable seven-goal English Premier League encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium, defeating Ipswich Town 4-3 through Bryan Mbeumo’s 96th-minute winner. The result extends Ipswich’s winless start in the top flight to nine matches.
The visitors dominated the opening exchanges and established a two-goal advantage within two first-half minutes. Sammie Szmodics struck first, converting George Hirst’s pass following intelligent play from Kalvin Phillips. However, Mbeumo delivered the final dramatic moment, his intended cross floating beyond goalkeeper Arijanet Muric in the 96th minute. Delap struck the post in response, but Brentford held on for three points, leaving Ipswich still seeking their first EPL victory of the campaign.
