July 25, (THEWILL) – USC freshman Bronny James, son of NBA legend LeBron James, is reported to be in stable condition following a cardiac arrest during a practice session on Monday, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the James family
According to the statement, the 18-year-old collapsed while engaged in practice, prompting immediate medical attention and his subsequent transfer to the hospital. Fortunately, he has since been moved out of the intensive care unit and is now reported to be in stable condition.
The family spokesperson thanked USC Medical for their exceptional work in promptly attending to Bronny and prioritising the safety of their athletes. “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital,” the spokesperson said. “He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.
“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update the media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
