BEVERLY HILLS, October 2, (THEWILL) – Coming on the heels of the self-isolation imposed on new Liverpool signing Thiago Alcantara after the Spanish footballer tested positive for the coronavirus following the club’s COVID-19 guidelines, THEWILL can confirm that their prodigious Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has himself also tested positive for the virus.
The Golden Boot winner of the 2018/2019 season will have to also self-isolate following strict guidelines and will follow all protocols relating to COVID-19. He will certainly miss Liverpool’s next game away to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Since domestic football goes on a two-week break for international fixtures, THEWILL believes that all things being equal, Mane should be healthy enough to return to the team’s line-up in the away Merseyside derby against Everton at lunchtime on the 17th of October.
