August 04, (THEWILL) — Tragedy struck on Sunday, August 3, when a 51-year-old man, identified simply as Mr. Reginald, allegedly took his own life in Ogbaku, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
The incident reportedly occurred within the premises of one Mr. Ukachukwu, said to be the alleged secret lover of Reginald’s wife.
Residents believe the deceased may have been driven to suicide by emotional distress caused by suspicions of infidelity in his marriage.
A disturbing video purportedly showing the aftermath of the incident has since surfaced online.
As of the time of filing this report, the Imo State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the development.
Efforts to reach local authorities for comments have so far been unsuccessful.
