The triumph contrasted with City’s 1-0 Wembley defeat to Palace in May, when Haaland had chosen not to take a spot-kick and Omar Marmoush was denied by Henderson. The victory keeps City firmly in contention at the top of the table with Arsenal now holding just a two-point cushion.
