January 19, (THEWILL) – Police in Ogun State have arrested a man, Kazeem Sholola for allegedly pouring hot oil on his wife, Mutiat Sholola in the Owode Egba area of the state.
The suspect also stabbed his wife in the head, causing injuries to her.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed this to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta at the weekend.
Odutola said that the suspect was arrested following a report from members of the Ring Road community in the area.
“It was reported that Sholola Kazeem, in an uncontrollable anger over a misunderstanding, poured hot oil over his wife’s body and also stabbed her in the head,” She noted
The police spokesperson said that the victim had been taken to Ore Ofé Hospital for medical attention
She said that the crime scene had been examined, while the suspect had been put under investigation
