BEVERLY HILLS, May 03, (THEWILL) – The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, was on Thursday morning brought into the Lokoja Senior Magistrates’ court 2 on a stretcher.
The embattled Senator Dino Melaye was brought in a Toyota Hiace police ambulance with the registration number NPF2214D and has appeared before the Court.
The Senator was earlier taken to the office of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the north-central state, was guarded by armed policemen.
According to the police, Melaye is being arraigned for an alleged criminal conspiracy, causing damage to government property, attempted suicide and escape from lawful custody.
THEWILL recalls that the lawmaker was arraigned in Abuja barely 24 hours ago after he was declared fit by the National Hospital Abuja where he had been recuperating.
He was granted a N90M bail but was immediately re-arrested by the police after the bail conditions were perfected.
