SAN FRANCISCO, June 03, (THEWILL) – Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has arrived the team’s camp in Asaba Delta State ahead of their preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament billed for Egypt, Completesports.com reports.

The former Middlesbrough midfielder, who had been absent from the Super Eagles for 11 months, was among the early arrivals in camp along with Leon Balogun, Ola Aina and Semi Ajayi.

Other players who also breezed into camp Sunday afternoon were Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem and Jamilu Collins.

Midfielder John Ogu, Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo are billed to arrive on Monday.

The Eagles will face Zimbabwe at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on June 8 before departing Nigeria the next day for Ismailia, Egypt for their final camp ahead of the tournament.

The Eagles’ last pre-tournament friendly is against Senegal, billed for the Ismailia Stadium on June 16.

The AFCON 2019 is billed to take place in Egypt from June 21 to July 20 and
Nigeria will face Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea in Group B of the tournament.
