BEVERLY HILLS, CA, December 30, (THEWILL) – Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State is expected to present the state 2014 budget proposal to the State House of Assembly on Tuesday.
The state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, said in a statement issued in Akure, weekend, that the presentation will hold at 1pm at the Assembly Complex on Igbatoro Road, Akure.
The statement urged members of the State Executive Council, Heads of Ministries, Department and Agencies of government and other invited members of the public to attend punctually.
Last year, the state government presented to the Assembly a budget estimate of N151bn, tagged, “A caring heart budget IV,” for the 2013 fiscal year.
The proposal indicated that it was N5bn lesser than the N156bn presented in 2012.
Noting that the estimates had N73.35bn as recurrent expenditure while capital expenditure was estimated at N77.65bn , Governor Mimiko said the budget was meant to further consolidate the gains his administration had made in the last four years.
