Concerned, he decided to check on him.

“I had just returned from church when I noticed Hamzat’s motorcycle parked in the compound. I went to his room, but the door was locked from the inside,” the neighbour narrated.

After repeated knocks without any response, he called on other neighbours to assist. Together, they forced the window open and made the grim discovery.

“We found Hamzat’s body hanging from a rope tied to the ceiling fan,” he added.

SP Odutola disclosed that the deceased’s body had been taken to a nearby hospital mortuary for an autopsy, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.

This tragic event comes barely six weeks after another similar incident in Ogun State.

His body was reportedly discovered by a worker in the early hours of the day.

The police continue to urge residents to seek help and report signs of distress or mental health issues among individuals to prevent such incidents.
