Inmates-escaped-from-Osun-prison

May 21, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has announced a N5 million reward for credible information that will lead to the recapture of seven inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State.

THEWILL reports that the jailbreak occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday after a heavy downpour breached the facility’s perimeter fence, creating an opportunity for the inmates to flee.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the NCoS spokesperson, Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC) Umar Abubakar, the Service called for public cooperation to apprehend the escapees.
