December 24, (THEWILL) — The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) to accelerate the reimbursement of depositors in the event of bank failures.

The collaboration is aimed at leveraging NIBSS’ robust payment and settlement infrastructure to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and speed of NDIC’s deposit payout process.

Through the partnership, verified depositors of failed financial institutions will be reimbursed more promptly, reducing delays often associated with manual verification and payment procedures.
