October 17, (THEWILL) — Chelsea claimed their third consecutive victory with a dominant second-half display against Nottingham Forest, winning 3-0 at the City Ground.
The Blues struggled through a lacklustre opening 45 minutes during which the hosts squandered several excellent scoring opportunities.
Three half-time substitutions transformed the visitors’ performance, with Josh Acheampong and Pedro Neto finding the net within seven minutes of the restart to establish control.
Acheampong opened his account for the club with a powerful header from Neto’s precise delivery down the left flank just four minutes after the interval.
The Portuguese winger doubled the advantage three minutes later, beating Matz Sels with a free kick from the edge of the penalty area.

Forest continued to create chances but lacked clinical finishing throughout the match.

Reece James wrapped up the scoring 10 minutes from time, firing home after Sels could only punch Estêvão’s corner into his path.
The captain delivered an outstanding performance on his 200th Chelsea appearance, contributing a goal, an assist, and a clean sheet. The sole negative for the visitors came with Malo Gusto’s needless 87th-minute dismissal, their fifth red card across their last six fixtures including manager Enzo Maresca’s sending-off against Liverpool.
The result lifts Chelsea to 6th place in the English Premier League standings.
