…As Agency Unseals Adamawa Governor’s Lodge
SAN FRANCISCO, October 21, (THEWILL) – The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has marked the Oyi River Crescent, Maitama, Abuja headquarters of the splinter faction of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for demolition.
THEWILL recalls that the Minister of the FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed had used the FCDA to seal off the property citing an infringement of the Abuja building code.
FCDA officials used a red ink to inscribe the demolition notice on the fence and the gate of the property. The inscription was dated October 11, 2013.
Meanwhile, the FCDA has unsealed the Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge, where the new PDP moved its headquarters after its secretariat was sealed off.
The Adamawa lodge, located along Katsina Ala Street in highbrow Maitama, was sealed off some days by the same FCDA on the excuse that the property was being used for politics in violation of the initial approval given by the agency.
Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako who is one of the G7 State Governors vehemently opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan’s obvious re-election bid had earlier criticized the FCDA for sealing off the lodge.
