October 25, (THEWILL) – In its efforts towards ensuring the world is made a better place to live in, a humanitarian organization that had been impacting positively on lives, Ikon Health Foundation (IKON), recently, visited some schools in Nigeria and offered sanitary pads to the girls.
The Chief Executive Officer and founder of the IKON Health Foundation, Pharmacist Ikenna Ogwuegbu, was ably represented by Dr Chioma Ihekoronye, who spoke extensively on “Personal Menstrual Hygiene”.
At the Comprehensive Secondary School, Ehunachi, in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, the Principal of the School, Mrs Agness Nwachukwu, lauded the founder of the Ikon Health Foundation, Pharm. Ikenna Ogwuegbu for visiting her school.
In her reaction, a 15-year-old Junior Secondary School (JSS) student of the College who gave her name as Miss Florence Nwosu, thanked the organizer for teaching them personal menstrual hygiene, which she said, would help her meaningfully.
The organization visited Government Girls’ Secondary School Dutse, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, during which it distributed sanitary pads and educated the girls on sexual health and menstrual hygiene to commemorate the International Day for Girl Child 2022.
