December 19, (THEWILL) — The Nigerian equities market closed the week on a strong note on Friday, December 19, 2025, with sustained buying pressure lifting key market indicators to fresh highs.

Market capitalisation opened at N95.856 trillion and rose sharply to close at N96.936 trillion, while the NGX All-Share Index (ASI) advanced from 150,363.05 points to 152,057.38 points.

Market breadth was positive, with thirty-four gainers against twenty-four losers, reflecting broad-based investor optimism.

Top Gainers

AUSTINLAZ gained 10.00 percent, rising (from N2.20 to N2.42).

UNIONDICON appreciated by 10.00 percent, (moving from N6.00 to N6.60).

TANTALIZER advanced by 9.80 percent, (closing at N2.69 from N2.45).

ALEX climbed by 9.78 percent, increasing (from N11.25 to N12.35).

CHAMPION added 9.71 percent, rising (from N15.45 to N16.95).

Top Losers

SOVRENINS declined by 7.42 percent, (falling from N4.18 to N3.87)

ROYALEX shed 6.84 percent, dropping (from N1.90 to N1.77).

OMATEK lost 6.84 percent, (easing from N1.17 to N1.09).

EUNISELL dipped by 5.88 percent, (closing at N80.00 from N85.00).

ETERNA retreated by 5.63 percent, falling (from N30.20 to N28.50).

Unchanged stocks for the session included MTN Nigeria Communications, Seplat Energy, Lafarge Africa, Okomu Oil Palm, and Julius Berger.

Investor sentiment remained firmly bullish, supported by strong price appreciation across mid-cap and consumer-facing stocks, as well as continued optimism around year-end positioning.

The sustained rise in both the ASI and market capitalisation suggests confidence in the market’s near-term direction.
