BEVERLY HILLS, September 3, (THEWILL) – Nigeria Thursday reported 124 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus, the lowest entry in at least 3 months and sustaining a pattern that suggests that infections are on a steep decline in Africa’s most populous state. However, the death toll rose significantly from single digits recorded in the past few days to 21.
Nigeria now has a total of 54, 587 confirmed cases with 42, 627 recoveries and 1, 048 deaths.
According to data released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, Lagos, the state with the highest number of recorded cases added 42 new cases, the FCT 25, Katsina 14 and Kaduna 11. See below for a full breakdown.
The NCDC also said it has so far tested 413, 265 samples as at September 2, 2020.
