SAN FRANCISCO, July 25, (THEWILL) – The sick Liberian national with ebola-like symptoms has died in an Obalende, Lagos, Nigeria hospital where he was being treated, a Lagos State Government official said Friday on condition of anonymity.
The man identified as Patrick Sawyer, 40, a resident of Monrovia, Liberia arrived Lagos on Sunday and was subsequently hospitalized after suffering severe vomiting and diarrhea.
The official however did not confirm whether the man was indeed infected with the deadly virus that has killed at least 600 people across West Africa.
