February 20, (THEWILL) – Nigerian music sensations Burna Boy, Tems and Rema took centre stage during Monday’s NBA All-Star game halftime show in Salt Lake City.
The Nigerian music industry has been making global waves recently with exports like Wizkid and Davido leading the way. Davido was even featured among artistes for the theme song for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he also performed during the final.
At the NBA All-Star game, which featured 24 of the league’s star players, two players of Nigerian descent, Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokoumpo were also in action. However, the Nigerian artists ensured that the game did not lack the flavour of Nigerian entertainment.
Tems, Rema and Burna Boy thrilled the audience with their performances, making them the first Nigerians to perform at the NBA All-Star game. The match ended in favour of Team Giannis, and Jayson Tatum broke the record for the highest number of points scored in an NBA All-Star game.
