SAN FRANCISCO, August 08, (THEWILL) – The President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr. Kayode Obembe has resigned his position after a disagreement with members of the union over the almost 5-week long strike embarked upon to press for better funding for doctors and medical installations.
The cracks in the union became public Thursday when members rejected Obembe’s directive to return to work following the outbreak of the Ebola epidemic currently ravaging West African States.
His letter of resignation is attached below:
