October 29, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, on Tuesday, adjusted the pump price of Petrol in Lagos from N998 to N1,025.
THEWILL reports that the national oil company had on October 9, 2024, hiked petrol pump price from N855 to N998 in Lagos; N897 per litre to N1,030 in Abuja; N1,070 in North-East; N1,025 in other South-West States; N1,045 in South-East and N1,075 in South-South.
On Tuesday, while most of the NNPC retail outlets did not sell petrol, the few with the product sold a litre at N1,025, about N28 higher than the N998. Fuel stations run by independent marketers, however, sold a litre of petrol as high as N1,100.
While no official statement has been issued on the development, motorists said petrol was also sold on Arab Road in Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of FCT, Abuja, at N1,050.
