SAN FRANCISCO, August 04, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has told Abdulmumin Jibrin, former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, to desist from making further public comments on the alleged padding of the 2016 budget.
This was contained in a letter to Jibrin through the party’s Deputy National Chairman, North, Senator Lawal Shuaibu, which added that the lawmaker should avoid comments on social media.
The party admitted that the budget padding crisis has caused it a lot of embarrassment saying it is looking towards finding possible solution.
“We found it embarrassing to have to deal with another new phenomenon you tagged Budget padding,” APC said in the letter.
THEWILL recalls that leaders of the APC, on Tuesday, met with Jibrin, at the party’s secretariat in Abuja, over his recent claim against Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, that the 2016 budget was padded by the leadership of the House of Representatives.
